Why do my cats sometimes come face to face and sniff each others noses?

by admin on October 14, 2009

There both male and usually tolerate each other, however 1 cat sometimes tries to attack the other like a bully. But as cats being cats, they like there own space so perhaps this nose to nose encounter is instinct?
why would they greet each other? they usually hate each other!

Maybe one is trying to see if the other has ate anything special? lol I always assumed that’s just how they see what the other has been up to.

My cats rub noses and the animal shelter told me its a cat way of saying hello (Greeting each other) or its a sort of thing to show they love and care bout each other.
Wel thats what the animal shelter told me.

Hope this helps u :)
